Road Safety and Traffic Town Hall Meeting

The City of Windsor will host a road safety and traffic town hall meeting at Willistead Manor on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

City and health unit staff will make brief presentations at the outset of the meeting and then open it up for discussion with concerned residents.

Topics for discussion will include:

·         Neighbourhood speeding

·         Driver behaviour at school pick-up and drop-off times

·         Pedestrian comfort crossing major streets

·         Safety of school children walking to school

In attendance will be:

·         Ward Four Councillor Chris Holt

·         City departmental staff (from Transportation Planning, Traffic Operations and Parking Enforcement)

·         A representative from the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit

·         Officers from the Windsor Police Service

·         Area school representatives

The purpose of this meeting is to gather feedback and ideas aimed at making city streets the safest they can be.
