Recreational Trail Improvements Begin Along Little River Boulevard

The City of Windsor Parks Department will begin work next week on recreational trail improvements along Little River Boulevard from Banwell Road to Clover Avenue, and within Little River Corridor Park at the intersection of Florence Avenue and Beverly Glen Street.

The work will include the milling and re-paving of 840 metres by 3 metres of the existing recreational asphalt trail. Two new recreational asphalt trails will be installed totalling 55 metres by 3 metres from Little River Boulevard to Mancroft Street. Additionally, 270 metres by 3 metres of existing granular pathway will be paved within the Little River Corridor Park at the intersection of Florence Avenue and Beverly Glen Street.

The work will result in the closure of the recreational trail at Little River Corridor Park for one week.  The recreational trail along Little River Boulevard will be closed approximately six weeks for initial milling and re-paving plus restoration and finalizing.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of November 2022.
