Internal Release: ENWIN team members assist ERCA in Earth Day Tree Planting Event
On Sunday, April 24th, ENWIN team members assisted the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) by attending their tree planting event in celebration of Earth Day.
The planting, which took place within Windsor’s Ganatchio trail, was delayed for almost two years due to the pandemic and was originally supported by ENWIN’s e-billing campaign from May of 2020. For every customer who converted to our e-billing program, ENWIN assisted in the purchase of trees for this initiative.
In total, Sunday’s event resulted in over 2500 trees being planted with the support of ENWIN, the LCBO, CUPE 543, and the City of Windsor. Staff members were also joined by members of City Council, and a variety of local organizations and community groups, all with shovels in hand.
