Flags Lowered to Half-Mast in Honour of Queen Elizabeth II

Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens has asked that flags at City of Windsor facilities be lowered to half-mast in respect and recognition of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen was born in 1926 and ascended to the throne in 1952 when she was just 25 years old.

Queen Elizabeth II died today at the age of 96.

Flags at City of Windsor facilities will be flown at half-mast, and Windsor City Hall will be illuminated in purple.

More details regarding public memorials and commemoration events will be shared in the days ahead as plans are confirmed.
